Nope... they don't have gift cards.
Absolutely! It's a Greek- Armenian family restaurant!
Nope..But trust me food is so good u don't need beer..Believe it from someone that loves beer & goes every weekend to a brewery..
Exceptional food, super nice staff members, constantly fantastic atmosphere. They charge convenient prices and the food quality is excellent. Keep up the good work.
Food is good but service is horrendous--beware. Highly recommend ONLY ordering in-person and paying cash. They are not transparent with their fees or payments and do not offer any solution. There are plenty of better places to eat in this area that offer both good food and service.
Deliver service was fast. Deliver guy was so nice and friendly. Food was so delicious. Next time we'll visit. Thanks
Always has great food at reasonable prices. My go to Armenian spot
It's a must try. Food and service are delicious. Staff is friendly. Prices are very fair. I got the combo, and it was good. Lamb, steak were very tasty, pretty much everything I had was good. The complimentary pickled turnips and cabbage was also delicious as well as the lentil soup that come with your meal. This is small gem, you must try. The parking situation is a bit of a hassle, they don't have a parking section, you need to find parking in the nearby neighborhood or the street, and it does get packed on the weekends. But place is great. Clean bathroom as well, that's a plus. I highly recommend this place.
I challenge you to find a better meal for a lower price in Los Angeles. Grilled meats (definitely Armenian style rather than Greek, but Greeks should still leave happy) with your choice of rice/very tasty fries, plus soup/salad.Stuffed myself with grilled chicken and lulu (ground beef) kebab, pita bread with garlic sauce, fries, salad, vinegary pickled cabbage and iced tea, in a clean, comfortable, homey glassed-in patio for the grand sum of $14.04 plus tip. Highly recommended.
Lamb chops and quails.. you don’t wanna miss them out.. amazing authentic food. I love this place.
I have tried most of the other kabobs which are very good, but there's something about their chicken kabob and that rice that keeps me coming back! Don't miss out on their lentil soup either, it's pretty wonderful.
Elena's restaurant is near perfection. The beef lulu plate #1 is delicious and full of flavors. The portion huge. My friend had plate #11 and it to was delicious. Since the portions were huge, we had food to take home. The prices are very good in relation to portion size. Customer service was great. Parking a bit challenging, otherwise, it's near perfection.
The place is quite quaint and rustic, which I think is a great vibe. Almost like being home. Armenian food and the setting here is great. Staff is always timely even when they have a full house. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. The bill was fair.
Last week was our first time in this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We had great time with the attentive service, with the great cooking and booze and with the comfortable cost. We will no doubt return there soon.
The Lulu and chicken plate was delicious.
I was really underwhelmed. I know it's a fan favorite, but eh. So I ordered a gyro which was not a gyro. Its was just a plate with pieces of meat, rice, onions, and a pita bread. Maybe I misunderstood. I ordered it from the sandwich section of the menu not the dinner. Meat was flavorful but dry. I mean dont get me wrong this place smells great, it's very clean, and it is busy. Just not impressed.Their French fries are actual potatoes that are sliced thick like a steak fry and made to order. Those are great. I'd love to order those again.Customer service is non existent. Dont expect a warm welcome.
One of my go-to places to eat. excellent location, neat, and excellent customer service. A must try!
I was excited to try this place based on all of the positive reviews.I liked the concept of the restaurant being in the same building as a small mart/store. It allows you to see and/or buy Greek items that you wouldn't normally see in a regular market. I just recently went to Greece, so seeing a lot of familiar "faces" on the shelves reminded me of the wonderful time I had there. The food was pretty good, but I would say the prices were a bit steep for my liking. I may be biased because I was just in Greece, where a gyro was $1.50-$2.50 (also had fries inside of the wrap)! Now, I know that this is America and prices are not similar to that of Europe, but that was my comparison.
Very cute cozy restaurant and the food is very delicious, there is no other like Elena's
Delicious food! And responsible prices!! Also super friendly staff!
Mom and pop Restaurant, the first time I visited Elena’s was in 1980. It was operated by a Greek Armenian woman and her Iraqi Armenian husband. This restaurant is an institution. If you are planning on going to Elena’s, you are going for the food, not the ambience or the atmosphere. Great authentic Armenian and Greek food, With plates under $10. My favorite at Elena‘s is the combo shish kebab and chicken kebab, stuffed grape leaves topped with yogurt, my favorite appetizer is the quail platter (2 quake) around eight dollars, also don’t forget the lentil soup.I highly recommend this restaurant.
Portions were very generous. Food was good and enjoyed the funky atmosphere. No need to dress up can go casual. Parking on the street and around the corner. Wheelchair acceptable. Run by a family and the energy is very high and positive. Thank you will dig it!
Best soup ever I always go here for soup and salad
This one of the oldest Middle Eastern Restaurants in Los Angeles and it created by chef Elena who is Armenian and came with her family to start this business, i tried the beef Kebab and Lamb Chopped and Lamb Ribs the meal comes with Hummus and pickles, Thanks for Virgena the best hosts ever.
Armenian food and the setting here is great. Staff is always timely even when they have a full house. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. The bill was fair.
Amazing food and service. I loved their lentil soup, is very yummy and wholesome. The place is quite quaint and rustic, which I think is a great vibe. Almost like being home. I had a hard time finding parking, but otherwise it was a great experience.
Best food and awesome atmosphere. Love going here very time.
The food is very good, BUT the customer service is sooo horrible!! There was a misunderstanding about the food order. the manger would talked over me and spoke to me as if i was a child. Very rude!!! Only reason i gave TWO stars was because the food is good. Never going back.
This is one of the best places to fix your Middle Eastern cravings. Not only is the food superb but also the price can't be beat. It will cost you around $12-$15 on average. Your meal is accompanied with either soup (lentil) or salad and pita bread. Service can be hit or miss here. Parking is awful, especially around dinner time.
This place is amazing! The food is always great. The servings are huge and the people are so nice. I love it. Plus, it's the closest anyone has come to tasting like my grandmother's Armenian cooking that I've found
The chicken kebab was so tender. Very nice service. Open windows and fans made this a wonderful tucked-away lunch spot!
The best Pork Chops & Rice I have ever tasted. Excellent service too.
Awesome food try the salmon plate can't go wrong
The only major problem is the parking, they say there is room in the Church parking but there is no sign to inform you at advance ..cheap price for great food ! 👍
I am absolutely loving this new restaurant. I have ordered in (via DoorDash) and just visited the restuarant tonight for dinner. Both experiences have been exceptional. I have lived at the junction of Bernal, Noe, and Glen Park for almost 20 years and cannot recommend this restuarant enough. Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and is nothing but quality. The presentation and service is also phenomenal. I really appreciate the effort this resturant makes and hope they stay in our neighborhood for years to come. Please try it.... you won't be disappointed.
This spot is my favorite. I go to many restaurants but to this place I go the most. The crew is very welcoming and the food they offer is so good. I never decline to have a nice dinner here. I highly recommend this place.
I always get dolma, my favorite! The rice is really really good too.The place is small and cozy.Very clean and neat. The workers are very nice when they are not busy. They serve pita bread with garlic sauce and cabbage pickled as appetizer. You’ll always get a side of soup or salad.
The food here is just sooooo delicious 🤤. The chicken with the seasoning went well together and the fries were crisp but not so wet and oily like other fries
Delicious food places can’t wait to go back
The lamb gyros are so good. I can't just eat one!
I love their chicken kabob and their food in general, and was enjoying myself tremendously, but hidden in my gyro was a snarl of black hair, like the sort you'd find in a drain. Honestly I found a stray hair earlier, but one stray hair, it's not such a big deal and I've dealt with it before. To discover a clot of hair halfway through a meal is beyond repulsive.i should have photographed it, but I was trying not to puke. When I presented it to the manager--Virginia?-- she said "that's impossible" and tried to explain how their food was made. I cut her off and told her I wasn't interested and didn't want a new plate, or eating anything ever again at that point. How can it be impossible with it right there? Neither one of us have black hair. Unpleasant in the extreme.
Okay. Good God. I am not a fan of Lentil soup, but it came highly recommended. So, I gave it a try. I scraped the bottom of the bowl. Yes. The food is that good.
Delicious good and portions served are large. They do not have a parking lot. Street parking and a small church at the corner across thr street from restaurant allows customers to park in their lot.
Food is delicious. Family friendly. Good service.
I wish I knew about this place before. Great food, and great service.
Juicy and super clean food. I ordered the lamb and chicken, way better than raffis
Tasty food, friendly staff. 👏🇦🇲
Delicious, affordable, and quick service. I had the falafel plate, and it was plentiful! It comes with a side salad, and you have the option to go with rice or fries. For only $9 this place is ideal. Great food, and the ability to be in and out quickly if you like. I’ll be back for sure.
Hands down, the best gyros in L.A. The falafel wraps are also excellent. If you're interested in a more traditional plate, try the chicken breast plate, served with rice and roasted pepper. It it also comes with a side salad or lentil soup. I'd go for the salad though, it's simple but good.
This place is amazing and spacious, the menu was enchanting and the rates were very affordable. fast, effective service and very attentive staff. Recommended.
I have never rated a restaurant before i made an account specifically for this, me and my dad have been coming here for over 15 years, they are the best and i love them. That is all.
Elena's was the most delicious meal inhave had in years. The flavors that come from their meats is outstanding. I wish I lived close by because I would eat here every day. I cant wait to go back again.
Definitely one of my "go to" restaurants! The most tender and tasty chicken kabob I've ever had, and I have never been disappointed when I order it. I have tried most of the other kabobs which are very good, but there's something about their chicken kabob and that rice that keeps me coming back! Don't miss out on their lentil soup either, it's pretty wonderful.
